Discover Cappadocia’s most historic sites in an unforgettable two-day tour.
Join your local guide to explore rock-cut churches, ancient valleys, underground cities, and charming towns full of tradition and myth. With deep knowledge of the region’s folklore, history, and hidden treasures, this tour brings Cappadocia’s soul to life in just two immersive days.
Day 1: Göreme Open Air Museum - Paşabağ - Zelve - Devrent - Avanos
Our tour begins with a visit to the Göreme Open-Air Museum, where we’ll explore rock-cut churches featuring strong early Christian elements and frescoes dating from the 10th to the 13th century.
Next, we head to Paşabağ, where we’ll admire Cappadocia’s impressive geological formations known as “fairy chimneys.”
We then visit the abandoned village of Zelve, once inhabited by locals until recent decades. You can still see the houses, some churches, and a mosque preserved in the area.
After Zelve, we continue to Devrent Valley, also known as the “Valley of Imagination” due to its uniquely shaped rock formations.
Next, we explore the town of Avanos, situated by the Kızılırmak River (Red River). We’ll cross a suspension bridgeand visit a traditional pottery workshop, part of the region’s centuries-old ceramic heritage.
Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2: Uçhisar - Kaymaklı Underground City - Sinasos
We begin the day in the village of Uçhisar, where we will see the largest fairy chimney in the region, which has served as a castle for centuries.
Next, we visit the famous underground city of Kaymaklı, dating back to the 3rd millennium BC and extending four levels deep underground.
Then we head to Sinasos (modern-day Mustafapaşa), a former Greek settlement. The area was once home to caviar merchants based in Constantinople. In Sinasos, we will visit the Church of Saints Constantine and Helen and admire the town’s impressive Greek mansions.
Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
